AN AWARENESS OF GOD PROGRAM

Designed to help parents and children to fully understand who God is and His purpose and plan for our lives. By knowing God, we are better able to apply His truths and live our lives as faithful servants in compliance with His will for us. Each awareness kit contains:

A study guide which contains everything needed to complete the program.

The study guides contain answers and applications and conclusions to each lesson if a dictionary or other source is not available. Thus the parent or teacher can use the study guide to direct the student through each individual lesson plan.

There are 13 individual lesson plans or assignments to be looked up in a Bible Dictionary, in the Bible itself and with meanings, applications and conclusions to be derived by the student.

A parent guide and an optional research project as well as a video to illustrate each lesson is also included in each complete kit.

These tools will further assist the parent in directing the lesson plans, while providing the student with additional ways to do the lesson and apply the truth contained in each study.

The Attributes of God

To truly know God, we need to understand who He is. This kit studies the attributes of God such as He is Spirit, Truth, Love, and also that He is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent. These are big words, and some-times we shy away from them because we think they are two complicated for little kids. Kindergartners can rattle off the names of dinosaurs and other large words and know about them, isn't it more important to know about God?

When our children are required to take biology and other sciences, isn't it necessary in order for us to know more about God, to study theology and who He is? We think it is vital, especially if we are to respond properly to Him and give Him complete control of our lives. Being aware of God allows us to yield to Him as the true Lord of all.

The Names of God

Each name of God tells us more about the Nature of God and who He is. Understanding these facts can help us to know how God wants to relate to us and to take care of us each day. Each name of God conveys a description of God such as Almighty and/or a provision for us such as Peace.

By knowing more about who God is and His all encompassing power and provision for us can only lead us to a better understanding of how we can depend upon Him, in and for all things.

The Descriptions of Christ

The Old Testament contains many types and descriptions of God. A type is an object or truth such as the Ark that provided salvation to Noah and his family just as the Lord provides salvation to us by being in Him.

As we learn more about God, it becomes easier for us to depend on Him and accept Him, knowing that he will take care of us always as He promised.

The Names of Christ

Jesus said He was the Way, and as the great I Am, we can know more about our Lord as the Truth, the Light and the Life. By understanding these truths and by applying them daily by allowing the Lord to rule in our lives, we can accomplish His will and have a peaceful and joyous experience through Him every day of our life.
